One of the current trends in the Nigerian Film Industry, Nollywood, is the very dreaded task force to check the influx of charlatans.
A source told TheNiche that the task force constituted by the actors’ and producers’ guilds in the industry is to make the location rounds and fish out those who have no membership cards or are not financial members.
This has led to actors stampeding the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) and Association of Movie producers (AMP) offices to put their papers in order.
This is not the first time this is happening; the question is whether it will be sustained this time to truly rid Nollywood of impostors.
