Barrister Taiwo Afolabi, Chief Executive Officer of Sifax Group has been unanimously elected as Chairman Board of Trustees of the Association of Nigeria Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA).
The election which was the fall out of a closed door session of the BoT members in Lagos also saw Prince Ozo Chukwura, the CEO of Systems Marine emerging as the Vice Chairman of the Board.
Chief Kingsley Offor was also elected as Secretary of the board at the Lagos meeting held in Marriot Hotel, Ikeja GRA on Tuesday night.
National President of the association, Iju Tony Nwabunike described process of the BoT election as Independent and devoid of external influence.
Nwabunike commended his National Executive Committee (NECOM) as the best team put together by the body since he joined it due to their common goal and sincerity of purpose to improve the association.
Speaking after the election, Chukwura described his new position as a call to service for the good of the association. He pledged the support of the board in strengthening the association and helping it achieve the objectives of it’s founding fathers.
The immediate past BoT Chairman, Chief Henry Njoku described the association as a group that has contributed in the personal and professional development of many members, including himself.
Njoku added that all newly elected and past leaders should work to make the body better than they met
