Sympli drums up support for Nigeria

For the second time in less than one week, the Primlaks Group has thrown its weight behind Nigeria’s national football team in its campaign for honours at the global stage in Brazil.

The company, makers of the locally farmed and produced Sympli brand of convenience foods, has urged Nigerians to sustain the tempo of their support for the national team as it files out against Bosnia Herzegovinia in their second match on Saturday.

In order to boost the depth of support for the national team, Primlaks will reward fans who wear the green and white national colours of Nigeria or waves the flag at select shopping outlets in Lagos with a free pack of One-Kilogram Sympli Yam Fries.

Primlaks’ Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Ravi Hemnani, said the company introduced the Sympli 100% Naija initiative in support of the national team to encourage citizens to always be proud of Nigeria.

Under the programme, the first 100 customers that wear the national colours or wave the Nigerian flag at any of the Fish Shop outlets in Lekki, Victoria Island, Kirikiri/ Apapa or Festac; or Spar Park “n” Shop Victoria Island or Lekki, or 9-to-7 Mart receives an instant reward of a free pack of Sympli Yam Fries.“As a company that has successfully showcased Nigerian fruits and delicacies at international food fairs, it is only natural that our support be extended to pride in the country’s national colours so that our representatives can always do the nation proud by giving their best at all times,” he said.

He stressed that with innovative products like the Sympli Yam Fries, which are good for big celebrations, the Primlaks Group will continue to champion the revolution in the Nigerian food sector to mitigate severe post-harvest wastage of home grown foods.”Agriculture will always play an integral part in sports because the essential vitality that is demanded by the body to carry out sporting or cheering-leading activities comes from the food we eat,” Hemnani said, stressing, “It is cool to support Nigerian foods, sports and agriculture.”
