Suspected kidnappers invade Ilorin community

It was learnt that the suspects fled the community when security operatives of Operation Harmony tactical team stormed the scene.

Gunmen have kidnapped several persons in the Oluwalose community of Ilorin, Kwara State.

A source within the community told our correspondent that several persons were taken captive during the invasion in the early hours of Tuesday, but the police maintained that two people fell victim.

The source claimed the chairman of the community, Buhari Tunde, was part of the victims.

It was learnt that the suspects fled the community when security operatives of Operation Harmony tactical team stormed the scene.

Spokesman of Kwara State Police Command, Ajayi Okasanmi, said he was aware that two men were abducted in that community.

Okasanmi disclosed that efforts were ongoing to rescue the victims.
