Suspect who attacked Apostle Suleman’s convoy confesses they wanted to assassinate him

Apostle Suleman’s motorcade was attacked in 2022 along the Benin-Auchi Road, leading to the death of six people

Yusuf Ismael Isah, a member of the gang arrested in connection with the attack on the convoy of the founder of Omega Fire Ministries Worldwide, Apostle Johnson Suleman has made a shocking revelation. 

According to the suspect who was paraded at the Force Headquarters on Thursday, he and his other gang members wanted to assassinate the clergyman. 

On October 21, 2022, a motorcade belonging to the outspoken and fiery cleric was attacked along the Benin-Auchi Road in Edo State.  

The gruesome attack eventually claimed the lives of at least six persons, including three police personnel.

While confessing to the crime, the suspect said their mission was to terminate the life of the popular pastor.

He, however, insisted that he didn’t know the person who masterminded the assassination attempt, claiming he was not part of the discussion that took place before the plot to kill Apostle Suleman

Speaking to pressmen, he said, “The attack on him (Suleman) was to assassinate him. I was not part of the discussion; Ilayasu and Labisca were the ones involved in the discussion.

“We attacked him with five AK 47 rifles. Labisca trailed him from where he was coming from to the point where we attacked him.”
