The proposed Super League by the European top 12 football clubs hss taken tolls on their market value.
Though the contested plans for an elite Super League fell apart on Tuesday, it forced the shares of the football clubs to dip on Wednesday.
Facing backlash from supporters and warnings from the U.K. government, six English clubs – Manchester United, Manchester City, Liverpool, Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea – abandoned the plan, leaving only Spanish and Italian clubs.
Shares of Juventus Football Club slid 10 percent in Milan, while those for Manchester United dropped six percent in New York on Tuesday.
Shares of Borussia Dortmund, which isn’t part of the league as yet, slipped two percent.
Meanwhile, the Super League advocates have stated that the project would be reshaped, according to MarketWatch report.
