A strange disease has hit Irelejare community in Irele Local Government Area of Ondo State.
The disease known as Schistosomiasis has sent fear to the minds of the inhabitants of the community as their children are urinating blood.
It was gathered that the outbreak of the epidemic was occasioned by the poor condition of water the people of the community drink.
A community leader, Omosehin Omopintemi, told TheNiche that the area had recorded at least five cases of the sickness among the children as they urinate blood.
Another community leader, Chief Qkinbola Oyedele, said that the development has sent fear to the residents.
His words: “We are now living in fear as our children urinate blood.” The Community Head, Baale of Irelejare, Chief Omokaraba Monebi, appealed to the Ondo State government to urgently intervene.
