The winning goal by Spurs, saw the club become the fifth team to score 1,000 goals at home since the Premier League was formed 30 years ago

Tottenham Hotspur narrowly beat Wolves in North London to earn 7 points from three matches and leapfrog Man City to top of the Premier League (PL).
Wolves were the better side in the first half but they were unable to capitalise on their dominance and punish the home side, as the half ended in stalemate.
The visitors restricted the hosts to just one 45th-minute effort and were unfortunate to see record signing Matheus Nunes nod Ruben Neves’ probing pass inches wide of the Spurs goal.
Harry Kane opened the scoring for Spurs in the 60th minute when he reacted sharply to head in Ivan Perisic’s flick-on from a corner to give Spurs a 1-0 lead.

The goal means Kane has now scored 185 PL goals for Spurs to overtake Sergio Aguero with Man City (184) for the most goals scored by a player for a single club in the competition.
Prior to the goal, the 29-year-old English Stiker and his strike partner Son Heung-min hit the woodwork as Spurs poured forward to break the deadlock.
The intensity of the home side football was in complete contrast to the first period, when a Wolves team containing seven Portuguese players were in the ascendancy and dominated the game.
However, despite the promise of Nunes’ display and the neat and tidy football which saw them develop several good openings, Wolves lacked a spark in the final third as Spurs held on to win the match.
Wolves are yet to win a game in 10 matches and have only picked up a solitary point in 3 games this season.
The only goal of the match also saw the hosts become the fifth team to score 1,000 goals at home since the Premier League was formed in 1992.
