Rwanda head coach, Torsten Spittler has predicted that the Super Eagles of Nigeria will win the Group D of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying series.

Austin Eguavoen’s men currently top the group with four points after securing an emphatic 3-0 win over Benin Republic in Uyo before being held to a 1-1 draw by Rwanda in Kigali.

Speaking on how the group will possibly shape out at the end of AFCON qualifiers, Spittler said the Super Eagles will remain at the top of the group.

“It’s a difficult group but in the end, Nigeria will win the group,” the German said.

He further predicted that the second position would be a straight fight between his team and Benin Republic.

“It will be Benin and us (Rwanda) who will fight for second place.” Spittler added.

Rwanda last played at the AFCON finals in Tunisia 20 years ago.
