Human rights activist and former African Action Congress (AAC), presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore has reacted to the verdict reached by the Council of State during a meeting held on Tuesday at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
Taking to his X page after the parley, the AAC chieftain described the meeting between President Bola Tinubu and his predecessor, Muhammadu Buhari, as that of “a failure meeting with a failure”
Several media outlets had earlier reported that former presidents, Goodluck Jonathan and Buhari were physically present at the meeting while ex-Military Heads of State, Yakubu Gowon and Abdulsalami Abubakar joined virtually.
The report, further noted that ex-President, Olusegun Obasanjo was conspicuously missing as he neither attended physically nor joined online.

However, after the Council of State meeting, which happened to be the first presided over by President Tinubu since assumption of office, the former leaders applauded the incumbent and condemned the just concluded EndBadGovernanceInNigeria protest.
Reacting to the verdict reached during the meeting, Sowore described the meeting between Buhari and Tinubu as that of two leaders who failed the country.
Speaking via his verified social media handle, he tweeted, “Failure meeting with failure.
“Today in Abuja at the Presidential Villa, a former failed President @MBuhari had a meeting with the current failed President @officialABAT.”
