Bafana Bafana, striker, Mihlali Mayambela has tagged their Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) semi-finals encounter against the Super Eagles of Nigeria on Wednesday as a “big game”.
He made this known, while speaking with South African journalist, Lorenz Kohler, noting that securing a place in the final of AFCON will be special for him and his family.
South Africa started their campaign at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations with a 2-0 defeat against the Eagles of Mali.
However, the former champions later rallied to earn a place in the last four of the tournament.

Hugo Broos’ side defeated one of the torunament’s favourites, Morocco in the Round of 16 and edged past a strong Cape Verdean side in the quarter-final via a penalty shootout.
Bafana Bafana now have their sights set on place in the final with three-time champions Super Eagles standing in their way.
Speaking on the eagerly anticipated semi-final encounter with Nigeria, Mayambela stated that his side have what it takes to beat the Super Eagles.
He said: “It will mean everything, already being here means everything. Imagine going to the final it will mean a lot to me and my family,.
“God has been great for me and I believe also we have the ability to make something great for ourselves and I believe we can do something great for the country and achieve even more. It’s a big game.”
