Anambra Governor-elect, Prof Chukwuma Charles Soludo, has extended his warm season’s greetings to the good people of the State and Nigerians home and in the Diaspora on this year Christmas celebration
In a release made available to the media by Mr Joe Anatune, Head of Soludo Media Office, the Governor-elect said, “It is with joy and happiness that I extend my warmest season’s greetings to the good people of Anambra State and Nigerians home and abroad as I wish each and every Ndi Anambra and Nigerian a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year in advance”
Analyzing the year 2021 in retrospect, in regards to Anambra State, Prof Soludo said the year has been particularly unique and at the same time challenging with the insecurity witnessed in the later part of the year in the State, the advent of the Omicron new variant of COVID-19 and the peaceful, free and fair governorship election that took place in the State.
The Governor-elect again extended his heart-felt gratitude to the people of Anambra State who gave him their mandate by voting overwhelmingly for him in the just concluded November 6 Anambra State governorship election as their next governor_

The statement said further, “As we celebrate this Christmas, let us all imbibe and emulate the greatest teachings of our Lord Jesus Christ which is to continuously show love to one another and eschew those vices that do not glorify His name and the sanctity of the human race.
“I therefore urge you all to celebrate responsibly with moderation and also observe strictly all the pre-cautionary measures against COVID-19 as prescribed by the health authorities; such as wearing of face mask, frequent washing of hands with soap and water, use of hand sanitizer and avoidance of large gathering. This is particularly important because it is only the living that celebrates,”
Soludo also used the occasion to pray for God’s protection and journey mercies for all Ndi Anambra travelling home to the Eastern part of the country to celebrate the Yuletide with their families and friends._
“For those who will be travelling down home to the East to celebrate the Yuletide with their families and friends, I wish you journey mercies, God’s protection, and safe arrival at your various destinations”
He wished Ndi Anambra and Nigerians all over the globe a happy Christmas celebration and a prosperous New Year ahead_
