Soludo in Nnewi South, assures of delivering democracy dividends

Soludo, Gov Obiano, Sen Umeh and other APGA chieftains at the rally

Governorship candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in Anambra governorship election, Prof Chukwuma Charles Soludo, and the state governor, Willie Obiano, have assured the people of Nnewi South council of the continuity of delivering the dividends of democracy to the people if the party is returned in the November 6 poll.

The APGA campaign train arrived Nnewi South on Wednesday and was received by over 10,000 supporters and the Transition Committee (TC) Chairman, Chieloka Okoye of the local government

The TC chairman commended Governor Obiano for his exceptional performance in Anambra State and lauded him for the ‘community choose your project initiative’ which has impacted positively on the lives of the people. He also commended the governor in the area of erosion control and roads among other things

He described Soludo as a worthy successor who will build on the achievements of Governor Obiano. Okoye promised that the local government will deliver the 20 wards in the locality to APGA and the Soludo/Ibezim ticket

Soludo thanked the people for their reception and acknowledged the work Obiano has done in the state. He promised to consolidate on the achievements.

He added that part of his agenda as contained in his manifesto is to empower the youths, women and the vulnerable. To this effect, he promised to create 130,000 private sector led jobs annually as well 1000 youth millionaires every year. Soludo reiterated that APGA remains the true political party for Ndigbo and urged the people to support it, adding that the party will be transformed into a Cooperative Movement that will directly benefit the people

Others who spoke at the rally included, Senator Victor Umeh, Hon Chinedu Obidigwe, member Representing Anambra East and West Constituency at the House of Representatives; Hon (Chief) Azubuike Osuchukwu, APGA Nnewi South local government chairman; Chief Ben Ibekwe, APGA Vice Chairman, Southern Senatorial Zone; Hon Sunny Ozobia, Member Representing Nnewi South 1 at the Anambra State House of Assembly.
