Soludo celebrates Ezekwesili at 60

Soludo, on behalf of his family, government and the good people of Anambra State, wished Ezekwesili long life and more years of abundance grace.

Anambra State Governor Charles Soludo has congratulated Nigeria’s former Minister of Education, Oby Ezekwesili, who turned 60 on Friday.

Felicitating Ezekwesili, Governor Soludo expressed gratitude to God for His grace and mercy upon her life.

He noted as a foremost daughter of Ndigbo and Anambra State, the celebrant has distinguished herself and brought honour to Anambra State and her community in the various capacities she had held forth both within and outside the country

Soludo further remarked that Ezekwesili remains an accomplished economic policy expert, an advocate for transparency and accountability, a fighter for good governance and human capital development, as well as a humanitarian and an activist of unblemished reputation

He also celebrated her as a politician of note and a distinguished public figure in Nigeria and the world, having brilliantly served as the Minister of Solid Minerals from June 2005 to June 2006 and Minister of Education between June 2006 to April 2007, under the then President, Olusegun Obasanjo, as well as the Vice president of the World Bank’s Africa Region from May 2007 to May 2021.

Soludo, on behalf of his family, government and the good people of Anambra State, wished Ezekwesili long life and more years of abundance grace and good health as she continues to render greater services to God and humanity.

Among her other accomplishments, Ezekwesili is also the Founding Director of Transparency International, Co-founder of the Bring Back Our Girls Movement as well as the Founder of Fix Politics Initiative, a research-based citizen-led initiative, and the School of Politics Policy and Governance (SPPG), and many more
