Anambra State Governor, Prof Charles Soludo, has emerged as the National Leader of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).
The former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) was elected on Friday during a meeting of the party’s National Executive Committee (NEC) in Awka, Anambra State capital, through a unanimous voice vote.
Soludo, who assumed office on March 17, 2022, and is 62 years old was the third in the line of succession.
In his remarks, the governor accepted the recognition as an honour and privilege, saying he feels the weight of history, including that of the nation’s forbears who lived their lives as progressives.
