Ace Afrobeats singer, songwriter and actress, Simisola Bolatito Kosoko, popularly known as Simi, has taken to social media to express her displeasure over the prevailing socio-political and economic situation in Nigeria.
The Duduke crooner made this known on Wednesday night via her Twitter handle, where she claimed the current situation in the country breaks her “heart a little more everyday.”
Simi in the now-viral post, also wondered how Nigerians are coping with the economic hardship in the country.

Speaking via her social media page, the mother of one tweeted: “Nigeria just breaks my heart a little more everyday. How are people surviving?”
Although the post by the 35-year-old singer did not specify the exact issue bothering her, it may not be unconnected with the hardship that followed the removal of subsidy from petroleum motor spirit (PMS) by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu-led administration.
After the full deregulation of petroleum products, the pump price of PMS (petrol) skyrocketed, leading to astronomical increments in the price of foodstuffs, cost of transportation and cost of living in general.
