Muyeez also claimed the music company never paid his royalty and hinted he’ll be taking legal action against it

Afrobeats singer, Moshood Abdulmuiz, better known as Muyeez, has followed the footsteps of his colleague, Shallipopi after announcing his departure from his record label, Dapper Music & Entertainment Limited.
He made this known in a statement he shared on his Instagram page and titled, “MY TRUTH: MUYEEZ SPEAKS OUT AGAINST EXPLOITATION”
His post made the rounds on social media barely hours after Shallipopi announced his exit from Dapper, aowned by Damilola Akinwunmi.
Explaining why he left the record label, Muyeez said he signed the deal with the music company when he was a minor.

He also recounted how he sometimes went to bed in a hugger, with the label not caring about his well-being.
The youngster, whose songs top the charts, further disclosed that the label never paid him his royalty as he hinted at taking legal action.
His statement read, “My name is Moshood Abdulmuiz p/k/a Muyeez p/k/a Young Badoo, and today, I am breaking my silence to share the painful truth about my journey as an artist under Dapper Music & Entertainment Limited.
“What should have been a dream come true turned into a nightmare of exploitation, neglect, and betrayal. I can no longer stay silent while my hard work and dedication are taken for granted.
“It is with a heavy wart that I announce the termination of my agreement with Dapper Music & Entertainment Limited.
“I was just a minor when I signed this contract, placing my trust in a company that promised to guide and support me. Instead, I was burdened with impossible demands.
“In just one month, I released three Extended Plays (EPs), all of which reached number one on the charts. Yet, despite this success, I have not received a single royalty payment for my efforts.
“My passion and hard work were met with indifference, leaving me to wonder if my voice truly mattered.”
