Popular gospel singer Mercy Chinwo has disclosed that she and a popular clergyman, Blessed Uzochikwa of the Waterbrook Church are officially engaged.
The talented 31-year-old gospel artiste and her pastor heartthrob broke the engagement news on their respective Instagram pages on Thursday, June 23.
Ms Chinwo who is a regular guest at the Waterbrook Church, took to her Instagram page to share some romantic pictures from their engagement shoot and wrote:
“I am blessed to be blessed with @theofficialblessed. The thoughts of doing the next phase and the rest phase of my life with you make the blessing more real. I love you, Sweet.”

Pastor Uzochikwa who is an IT professional also took to his Instagram page to say he is excited that he is starting a new phase with his lover and quoted a verse of the Bible to prove he chose rightly.
He wrote, “I’m The Man The Lord Showed Mercy! @mercychinwo thanks for saying YES! I LOVE YOU DEARLY!
“Ecclesiastical 9:9 Live happily with the woman you love through all the meaningless days of life that God has given you under the sun. The wife God gives you is your REWARD for all your earthly toil.”
Uzochikwa, apart from being a pastor and ICT specialist, is also a rights activist, he was at the forefront of the fight against xenophobia in South Africa in 2020.

In 2013, the “Excess love crooner” got her break in acting when she participated in Yvonne Nelson’s film, ‘House of Gold’, a movie which featured the likes of Yvonne Nelson, Majid Michel, and Omawumi, while she played the role of Lucia.
After their post, celebs such as Chioma Jesus, Adesua Etomi, Waje, Obi Cubana, and Banky W took to their comment section to congratulate the lovebirds.
