Afrobeats singer, Opeyemi Rahim, better known as Lyta, has appealed to ace singer and record label owner, Olamide to allow him to return to his record label, YBNL Nation.

The ‘Monalisa’ crooner left YBNL Nation in 2019 in controversial circumstances after falling out with his boss, Olamide.

Lyta later disclosed in an interview in 2022 that he left the record label because he “heard a lot of things from friends and people in the industry.”

He went on to say he “didn’t know who or what to believe and some people eventually got into my head.”

However, while appearing as a guest on the Ginger Yourself Podcast recently, Lyta expressed his desire to return to YBNL, saying he didn’t leave the record label “intentionally.”

Speaking during the interview, he said: “I want to be back with YBNL, what I did back then [leaving YBNL Nation] wasn’t intentional. I didn’t hear from Olamide before leaving and after I left, he just locked up. But I’ve spoken to him since leaving. I chatted with him via Instagram on his birthday and he responded.”

Asked if Olamide is following him on Instagram, the upcoming singer said, “No. He is not following anybody on Instagram.”
