Chelsea and Brazil defender, Thiago Silva, has taken to social media to show his sadness over the news that his teammate, Mason Mount has agreed personal terms with Premier League (PL) rivals, Manchester United.

The England International seems set to leave Stamford Bridge for Old Trafford this summer, after he picked the Red Devils over other clubs.

According to The Telegraph, Man United are now in the driving seat to sign Mount after his agreement with the red half of Manchester.

Prior to the news of his agreement with Man United, other Premier League clubs, such as Liverpool and Arsenal were reported to have also shown interest in signing the 24-year-old.

However, while it seems Chelsea are ready to let the midfielder leave for the right price, the decision does not seem popular among his teammates.

Silva, after the news broke out, shared his thoughts on Mount’s proposed transfer to Man United by reacting to a social media post on the issue.

The veteran defender took to the comment section of the post to share two upset face emojis, which seemingly confirmed the exit of the academy graduate from Chelsea.

Meanwhile, Mount moving to Old Trafford seems to be gathering steam, with Frank Lampard, who was caretaker manager following Graham Potter’s dismissal, talking up the player’s transfer away from the club.

“I think it is a difficult situation,” he said prior to Chelsea’s match against Man United last week.

“From working with Mason and other players when I was here before, they’ve either gone on to be really important players for the club that have a real relation with the fans, back and forth, because they really feel the club when they’ve been in the academy since eight years of age.

“And some of them have moved on to other clubs and the club have done well out of that. They’ve gone on and you’ve wished them well in their careers.”
