Silva reacts after City’s 4-1 annihilation, says ‘We’re in dark place’

Silva went on to say, “Even when we play well we don’t score our chances, and we concede too easily”

Manchester City star, Bernardo Silva has admitted that he and his teammates are currently not on top of their game, saying the Citizens are currently in a “dark place”.

The Portugal international made the comment shortly after the Premier League champions lost three consecutive matches.

Man City, who were tipped to win Tuesday night’s Champions League fixture, were uncharacteristically defeated 4-1 by Sporting Lisbon.

Prior to the loss to the Portuguese side, Pep Guardiola’s men had lost against Bournemouth in the Premier League and Tottenham Hotspur in the Carabao Cup.

Speaking to the media after Man City’s defeat to Sporting, Silva said (via Fabrizio Romano): “We’re in a bit of a dark place right now.

“Everything looks to be going in the wrong way.

“Even when we play well we don’t score our chances, and we concede too easily.”

Man City are currently second 
and fifteenth on the Premier League  and Champions League’s tables respectively.
