Shettima says Tinubu will restore peaceful co-existence in Plateau 

Shettima also said every part of Nigeria would eventually feel the impact of the Tinubu-led government

Vice President, Kashim Shettima, has assured his principal,  President Bola Tinubu will bring back the peaceful co-existence that was once the order of the day in Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State.

He made this known at the Presidential Villa, Abuja on Friday when he hosted a traditional ruler from the LG, the Mishkahan Mwaghavul, John Hirse and his team.

The former governor of Borno State, while addressing them, said every part of Nigeria would eventually feel the impact of the President Tinubu-led government.

He went on to say the crisis in Plateau had nothing to do with religion, stressing that ”it’s just for us to understand ourselves and coexist peacefully with one another.”

He further assured that the Tinubu-led administration will restore peace within the shortest possible time in their community.

Speaking during the visit, Shettima said: ”Plateau is a blessed land with both Muslims and Christians. What binds us together supersedes what divides us.

”This administration will deploy all resources towards addressing all the political contradictions in the bid to restore peace and harmony in the state.

“We are going to address, by the grace of God, all the internal contradictions, the political connotations and even the ethnic undertones which are part of the conflict and ensure we find a lasting solution,” he stated.
