Human rights activist and former senator, Shehu Sani, has said the immediate past governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai, is likely to cause a rift between President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his vice, Kashim Shettima.
He made the prediction while featuring on an Arise Television programme on Friday, where he argued that El-Rufai, who is now a ministerial nominee, is a “serpent brought into the present administration”
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain went on to ascribe the face-off between former president Olusegun Obasanjo and his vice, Atiku Abubakar, to El-Rufai, who served as a minister during the administration.
Sani further stressed that the former governor would cause chaos between the president, his cabinet members and state governors because that is what the one time minister is known for.

Speaking during the chat, he said, “Was he (El-Rufai) not a Minister when issues came up between Obasanjo and Atiku? It is going to be the same thing. If you see any discord between President Tinubu and Shettima, the same person caused it.
“If you see any discord between Mr president and members of his cabinet, he is still going to be the person that planted that discord. He has that history and track record.
“This is not a prophecy but a proven fact of what had happened, so I am saying that they have brought a serpent into their government. And they are going to pay the price for it”.
Shehu Sani, however, advised the president to be watchful, saying any of his cabinet members who fail to meet his expectations and that of the Nigerian people should be removed and replaced without delay.
