Ace pop singer and songwriter, Shakira Isabel Ripoll, better known as Shakira, has described her baby daddy and boyfriend, Barcelona defender, Gerard Pique, as the best center-back in the world.
Shakira made this known via her Twitter handle after Pique led Barca to defeat their bitter-rival Real Madrid at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu on Sunday night.
Carbon striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s two goals and a strike each from Ronald Araujo and Ferran Torres secured the convincing El Clasico 4-0 victory for the men from Catalonia.
Reacting to the victory after the match, Shakira said Pique played through pain to lead his team to victory.

She also said though he does not want to be praised publicly, he remains the best defender in the whole world.
“Gerard won’t let me say these things publicly.
“But only he with his heroism can play like this, overcoming any injury or pain and always giving his best. It’s not because he’s my husband, but he’s the best center back in the world. I said” Shakira wrote.
The Colombia singer has been in a relationship with Pique for over a decade and they have two kids together, Milan and Sasha.
Piqué, who is ten years younger than his girlfriend, first met her in the spring of 2010, when he appeared in the music video of Shakira’s song ‘Waka Waka’.
