Some prominent senators of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and those of the All Progressives Congress (APC) dodged casting vote on the passage of the Electoral Bill.
The Bill was passed, stripping from the Independent National Electoral Commission ,(INEC) the power to make decision on transmitting the results of an election electronically.
All APC senators, 52 of them in attendance, voted in support of the watered down version of the bill, while all PDP senators, 28 during the voting, voted in favour of electronic transmission of results.
But 28 senators were absent during the vote, including all the senators from Anambra.
