Former aviation minister and Senator representing Anambra North, Stella Oduah on Wednesday formally joined the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) at a ceremony held at the party’s national office in Abuja.

Several members of APGA national and state executives as well other party stakeholders were on hand to welcome Senator Oduah into the party,  including Senator Victor Umeh (Senator representing Anambra Central), Chief Ben Obi (Igwe APGA), Sir Norbert Obi (Anambra State APGA Chairman), Chief Uchenna Okafor (Anambra State Commissioner for Transport), among others.

National Chairman of APGA, Victor Oye whose national executive was also celebrating its three years in office on Wednesday said that Senator Oduah had proven her self in the Senate and was welcome home to APGA.

Oye said APGA is now the darling political party in South Eastern Nigeria and that many more will join the party ahead of the 2019 elections.

“We are confident of clinching the governorship seats in the entire South East come 2019 and will also have strong showings at both state and national legislative elections in other states,” Oye said.

News of Senator Oduah’s defection to APGA emerged on Tuesday with reports indicating she would formally join today (Wednesday).
