Lagos has always been a draw for artists to exhibit their works perhaps because of the art-aware audience in the state and the bountiful galleries with spaces for artists to put up such art showcases.
The month of April is the same with several art exhibitions taking place right now. Two among the many are by the artists Emmanuel Eni, Lateef Olajumoke and there is a third in June one by a group of artists like Oguntimehin Ariyo, Luke Iyorah, Okoro Nathan, Chidioke Nwaga as well as Stella Ubigho.
Eni’s exhibition is titled ‘Art Merchant2 Salon’. It will open at 6pm from April 28 to May 6 at the Yusuf Grillo Gallery, Yaba College of Technology (Yabatech), Lagos. The one by Olajumoke titled ’Diaries of Rich Man’s Wife’ is ongoing at Moorhouse, Ikoyi, Lagos until April 30.
Meanwhile, the exhibition by the group of artists earlier mentioned is of sculptures and paintings titled ‘Same Boundry’. It will open at 4pm on June 13 and run till June 27. Venue is Quintessence Ltd, Park View Estate, Ikoyi, Lagos.
