Sanwo-Olu to flag- off 5th Lagos Waste Forum

Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu will be flagging off and address the 5th Lagos Waste Forum, tagged, “The Future of Waste Forum”.

This prestigious event, scheduled to take place on December 2-3, 2024, at Ikeja, Lagos, will bring together stakeholders from various sectors to discuss innovative solutions to waste management challenges in Lagos State.

As the chief executive of Lagos State, Governor Sanwo-Olu’s participation in the forum underscores his administration’s commitment to addressing the environmental and health challenges posed by ineffective waste management. The governor’s address is expected to provide valuable insights into his administration’s strategies for promoting sustainable waste management practices in Lagos State.

The 5th Lagos Waste Forum promises to be a groundbreaking event, featuring presentations and discussions by local and international experts on waste management.


The forum will also provide a platform for stakeholders to share their experiences, challenges, and successes in waste management, with a view to identifying best practices and innovative solutions.

The Lagos Waste Forum is an initiative of SWEEP Foundation, in partnership with Coca-Cola Nigeria and the Ministry of the Environment and Water Resources, Lagos State, aimed at co-creating strategies for a circular economy in Nigeria. This edition promises to be exciting, focusing on leveraging the economic value chain of plastic waste to drive sustainable development.
