Sabitzer signed for the Red Devils until the end of the season following Christian Eriksen’s long-term injury and a short-term problem for Scott McTominay

Austrian midfielder, Marcel Sabitzer, has said he left Bayern Munich to join Premier League club, Manchester United on loan because he is at the peak of his career and cannot be on the bench.
The Red Devils completed the 28-year-old’s transfer on deadline day and he is expected to don United’s jersey until the end of the season following Christian Eriksen’s long-term injury and a short-term problem for Scott McTominay.
Sabitzer has made 54 appearances for Bayern since joining the Bundesliga champions in August 2021.

After the deal was officially announced by Manchester United, the Austria international justified his move by saying he needed to play football given his age.
He went on to say he is excited to join the team and that his experience and energy will come in handy for the Red Devils.
“I feel that I am at my peak as a player and that I can contribute a lot of experience and energy to the squad. I am excited to start with my new team-mates and manager” Sabitzer said:
He added: “Sometimes in life, you have to make quick and important decisions.
“From the moment I heard about this opportunity I knew it was right for me. I am a competitive player; I want to win and help the club achieve its aims this season,”
Sabitzer, who was previously club captain of RB Leipzig, has made 443 career club appearances across Europe.
