Portuguese striker, Cristiano Ronaldo, is said to be worried over Manchester Uniteds’ quiet transfer window, which has resulted in their inability to sign a single player so far this summer.

The Red Devils who Ronaldo was expecting to have named two or three new signings by now can only boast of their new coach, Erik ten Hag, as the only arrival at Old Trafford.

United finished 6th last season and will not be in the Champions League next season; they were, however,  lucky not to be pushed further down into the Europa Conference League after losing to Crystal Palace on the final day of last season.

New boss, Erik ten Hag has come to revamp the squad and has already identified several transfer targets, with Barcelona midfielder, Frenkie de Jong and Christian Eriksen his two priorities.

The Red Devils are also chasing the likes of Julian Timber, Lisandro Martinez, and Antony, all from Ajax.

But United have yet to secure their first summer signing, while rivals such as Liverpool have already signed Darwin Nunez and Manchester City have also completed their £51 million deal for Erling Haaland from Borussia Dortmund.

Arsenal have unveiled Viera Fabio, whom they signed from FC Porto while Tottenham Hotspur and other clubs have also strengthened with new additions this summer.

Over the weekend, United’s chief executive, Richard Arnold insisted that the club’s finances are in place to bring De Jong to Old Trafford during a conversation with supporters.

But AS’ Manu Sainz, who is close to Jorge Mendes, said Ronaldo is ‘worried’ about Manchester United’s current situation and is concerned that their Premier League rivals are already pulling away with their new signings

The report claims: “Ronaldo wants reinforcements at Manchester United, but so far it does not seem that the club is going to enforce the squad changes that he considers necessary.”
