The Spaniard further added that football in the Asian nation is not yet at a level he wants to operate for now.

Speaking to the media outlet, he said: “My future? I’m very happy at City. I heard about Saudi but it would be very complicated to join a project like Saudi for me.

“My priority in football is ambition — as sporting, individual, collective ambition. At the moment, Arabia is not there.”

Rodri is expected to resume playing Premier League matches after he was given a matching order in their game against Fulham.

The Citizens in his absence crashed out of the Carling Cup and suffered back-to-back defeats in league games against Wolves and Arsenal.
