Manchester City midfielder, Rodri, has countered earlier prediction by his club’s medical team after hinting at a possible return to action this season.

The Spanish defensive midfielder damaged his ACL during a Premier League fixture against North London club, Arsenal at the Etihad Stadium in September.

The club after reviewing results of further tests after the injury, announced that the current Ballon d’Or winner will miss the rest of the season.

However, speaking about how he is recuperating, Rodri said he is desperate to feature again for City this season.

He said, “I feel I can return already this season, yes. It’s possible and I can make it happen.”

He added, “I’m recovering now, no pressure. It’s important to recover in the best way.

“But the season is long, there’s the new Clubs’ World Cup… I can do it.”

Man City, who won the last four English Premier League (EPL) titles have lost their last four games in all competitions this season.

They currently sit in second place on the log table, five points behind league leaders, Liverpool.
