The Chairman of Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers State, Samuel Nwanosike, has blasted Governor Siminalayi Fubara, saying he is ‘naive’.

He made this known in a now-viral video posted on his official X handle, formerly Twitter, while addressing his supporters at Omerelu Community.

The council chairman, who is loyal to FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, claimed Fubara has not achieved anything as governor of the state since he took over the mantle of leadership on May 29, 2023.

He said, “Any day the likes of Chijioke sent by Fubara insults Wike, I’ll insult Fubara, so today, Fubara is a foolish Governor, he’s not a ‘mumu’ Governor but a foolish Governor because since he took office in May 29th, he has done nothing for Rivers people.”

Nwanosike went on to say the governor has made Rivers State unsafe dues to his poor performance.

He further argued that the allegation that Wike wanted to pocket Rivers State is far from the truth, saying Fubara “is very naive and doesn’t know what governance is all about. If he knows what governance is all about, by now, he would have been visiting Rivers State by the local government.

“Go and look at Igirita roundabout by Igirita market by Eleka Road; deathtrap, can’t move. Kidnapping everywhere in Rivers State and you say you’re a Governor.”

Fubara and his predecessor, Wike, fell out in 2023 after a battle for supremacy in the state.
