The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Caucus in the House of Representatives has debunked claims of intervention and outcome of an online meeting regarding the leadership crisis rocking the party, by the group.

In a statement signed by the Minority Leader and Leader of PDP, House of Representatives, Ndudi Elumelu, the Caucus maintained that if such a meeting ever held, it was without the knowledge of the leadership of the Minority Caucus, and therefore in breach of established procedure.

The group rather stated that it was working in concert with organs of the party to ensure sustainable resolution of the current challenges that will be in the overall interest of the party and Nigerians.

It appealed to all party faithful, particularly PDP members in the House of Representatives, to exercise caution and patience as the party addresses the leadership challenges.

PDP has been enmeshed in leadership crisis of late, leading to the resignation of some officials of the party, last week. Some members are also asking the National Chairman, Uche Secondus to resign. Secondus has however insisted that there is no basis for him to throw in the towel.
