Replace sit-at-home with Biafra Colour Day, Yesufu tells IPOB

Yesufu, a fierce activist, is angry that a young lady is being detained over the choice of attire. She wants a Biafra Colour Day in lieu of the sit-at-home.

Activist and social media influencer, Aisha Yesufu, has advised the Independent People’s of Biafra (IPOB) to consider replacing its sit-at-home protest with Biafra Colour Day where everyone in the South East will be dressed in the green, red and blue colour of Biafra.

Yesufu said this in reaction to the arrest of an Alwa Ibom lady, Idara Gold, for decking the Biafran attire while marking her birthday.

She has neither been charged to court nor granted bail since her arrest last week.

Yesufu has protested Idara’s arrest on the ground that people should be free to express themselves through their dressings without facing any kind of harassment.

Yesufu said: “In a struggle everyone is important and no one must be left behind. Idara needs the might of the voices! Instead of sit at home order, can there instead be a wear biafra colors days?! Imagine millions of others with the Biafran colours at once. How many dem go arrest? #FreeIdaraGold.”
