Rep members donate N100m to Olympic bound Team Nigeria

Team Nigeria to the 2024 Olympic Games in France has received a donation of N100 million to facilitate their campaign in the competition.

The House of Representatives made the donation today in Abuja.

The Deputy Speaker, Ben Kalu, made the announcement during plenary today when the House hosted the Minister of Sport, John Enoh, and the team.

The Deputy Speaker said that the money would be taken from the salaries of the members.
“The money is coming from our salaries,” Mr Kalu said.

Additionally, the Chairman of the House Committee on Army, Aminu Balele (APC, Katsina), donated N3 million to the team.
