Nigeria’s first lady, Oluremi Tinubu, has appealed to Nigerians to be patient with her husband, President Bola Tinubu, as he tries to restore the country to a better path.

She made the plea while receiving the Senators representing the three senatorial districts in Lagos State at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Thursday.

According to her, the Tinubu-led administration was working hard to bequeath prosperity legacies to the country.

She went on to say it takes a lot of courage and sacrifice to bequeath such prosperity to Nigerians.

Speaking during the visit, Remi Tinubu said: “The administration of President Bola Tinubu is resolute to leave a legacy for generations yet unborn. This takes a lot of sacrifice and courage.”

She went on to restate her call for lawmakers to enact laws providing maximum penalty for kidnappers in the country.

Remi, who represented Lagos in the Senate for 12 years, also appealed to the senators to lead the process in enacting security related laws to stem the tide of the crime.

Prior to her appeal, the leader of the delegation and Chairman of Southern Senators’ Forum, Adetokunbo Abiru, told the first lady that they came to pay homage to her.

The senator representing Lagos East also affirmed that President Tinubu was on course at putting the nation on a solid footing of economic wellbeing and lasting prosperity.
