MFM founder, Olukoya, knocks women undergoing buttock, breast enlargement and the new qualifications for going to hell

By Ambassador Lilian Onoh

I read the above headline about a Mountain of Fire and Miracles’ (MFM) sermon on breast and buttock enlargement with total disbelief and the disbelief turned to incredulity after I read the whole article and discovered hitherto unknown qualifications for going to hell, according to the reported sermon by the MFM founder on September 3, 2023.

I quote: “According to the clergyman, the devil will not waste his time on those who underwent liposuction or Brazilian butt lift (BBL) surgeries because he has already captured them”.

He also allegedly said: “When you are a woman and you go and do surgery to expand your buttocks, you are telling God that what you put there is not okay. What you put in my chest is not okay, I want to put my own.  The devil will not waste time on those doing BBL, he has already captured them.” End quote (TheNiche, September 4, 2023).

Nothing was said about the men who often pay for the BBL and breast implant surgeries nor the surgeons and their nurses and receptionists, and those who rent out their buildings to the surgeons, who can all be classified as enablers of the “sinful” surgeries and who will likewise be on the train to hell with the women, we presume.

So, without further ado, let us address some additional qualifications for going to hell, based on things we do to improve our appearance as opposed to leaving ourselves solely how we were created.

Number 1 – Hair.  Are all men worldwide going to hell for cutting, trimming, shaving, carving or styling their hair? Certainly that could be classified as telling God that they are not satisfied with the way God made their hair.  All those jerry-curled pastors are really in trouble, eh?  How about men dyeing their grey hair black in order to look younger? Or shaving the hair on their faces, having carved beards or stylised moustaches?  Are these not tampering with the way God made them?  They should all let their beards grow until they look like Osama Bin Laden, yes?

Or how about the men who do chin implants, cheek implants, nose jobs and inject themselves with steroids to get six packs and bulging arms with which they hope to impress women? Fast Track at Hell’s Immigration Section, I guess.

Will all those who shave their underarms, legs and arms also join the train to hell?  I wonder.

Will braiding the hair, with or without attachment, perming hair, leaving it to become “dada” or dreadlocks, all be classified as telling God we are dissatisfied?

And what about wearing Western suits with neck-choking ties in 100 degree temperatures instead of wearing whatever traditional clothes are indigenous to the pastor?  Is that not telling God that he is dissatisfied with the locale he was born in and would have preferred to have been born as a European?  Why preach in English or use reading glasses or sun-glasses? Or dentures, teeth Veneers, dental crowns and implants for those with dental issues?

Is putting on powder and other makeup a complaint to God about how our faces look without make-up?  What about deodorant?  Is that telling God that the stench of sweat must be preserved at all cost in order not to tamper with how He created us?

The only way all the above differ from breast or butt enlargement is a matter of degree – much like the difference between one who steals N100 versus the one who steals N105 or the one who steals N200.  All of them are thieves – it’s just a matter of how much each stole.

So, in closing, it might be necessary to refer to the incarnate Word of God, Jesus Christ Himself in Matt. 15:11:  “A man is not defiled by what enters his mouth but by what comes out of it”, which is a simple way to tell us a simple truth: The external is not the problem but the heart of man and what goes on in it.  That includes focusing on how women look and condemning them instead of preaching The Word to fallen humanity, where some of the most pious looking men and women of all faiths carry the blackest hearts.

The Bible already gave the criteria for going to hell.  Let us stick with preaching the Word without trying to help God and let the Holy Spirit change each person as He sees fit.

Only God knows the hearts of the BBL Brigade, whose insecurities about their appearance can in no way be solely responsible for consigning them to hell.

Only God knows the heart of the pastor, too.
