Victor Umeh

The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) candidate in tomorrow”s Senatorial re-run, Chief Victor Umeh, said that he was offered N250 million in 2003 after that year’s election was rigged and a wrong person declared winner.
Umeh, who addressed his supporters at the grand finale of his campaign at Neni, headquarters of Aniocha Local Government Area, said that he knew it would be difficult for him to run in the election.
Umeh, who did not mention who offered him the bribe, also told the crowd that the Court of Appeal never announced that People’s Democratic Party (PDP) winner of the 2015 Senatorial election.
According to him, this was not necessary because the court having found the PDP primary irregular there was no point going into the merits of the election.
For Governor Willie Obiano’s re-election, Umeh said that he worked for him as a matter of determination to make him win.
He thanked Obiano for reciprocating his gesture by accepting to work for him as chairman of his election campaign.
