United States-based Nigerian rapper, songwriter, dancer and comedian, Darlington Okoye, better known as Speed Darlington, has once again stirred controversy on social media, after saying ace singer, David Adeleke aka Davido is not “talented”.

The songwriter made the assertion via his Instagram page on Friday, April 21, while sharing a flyer of one of the “Electricity” crooner’s upcoming events.

He also said it amazes him how the DMW boss managed to achieve and maintain the great music career he has had so far, despite lacking musical talent.

Speed Darlington in the now-viral post wrote, “I don’t know how you manage to maintain a career. Your lack of talent amazes me yet you have a career”.

His comment after making the rounds on social media elicited mixed reactions from netizens.

Prior to this, Davido had admitted that his third studio album “A Better Time” which cost him a staggering $2 million (almost one billion naira) made less profit than his latest album “Timeless” which he spent far less on.

He also said the new album was going to either make or break him.

Speaking on the “Ebro in the Morning Show” on Hot 97FM, New York, Davido said: “My last album, I will tell you, I probably spent $2 million. That is for everything. You know what I’m saying?

“I haven’t even spent $300k on this album [Timeless]. And I made more already in three days. It just shows me the level of where African music is going.”

The 30-year-old further said he was elated that his fans and followers finally accepted his album at the fourth time of asking.
