Nigerian rapper and make-up artist, Elohor Eva Alordiah, has finally explained why she abandoned her music career to try her hands at other things.
She made this known via a post on her official X (formerly Twitter) on Saturday, saying she went into depression at a point during her stay in the industry.
She went on to say her inability to fend for herself despite her blooming music career made her seek other alternatives and her decision eventually worked and saved her from depression.

Narrating her ordeal on her social media page, Alordiah who labelled herself “Starving Artist” wrote: “A few years ago, I walked away from a seemingly successful music career. Depression had taken almost permanent seat beside me.
“My account balance was just enough to buy my next meal. If there was a picture of the phrase “Starving Artist”, it would have been my damn face. One day, I said, I got myself here; I’m going to get myself out.
“Taking responsibility for my decisions helped me get my life back. My life is so much better today because I was bold enough to say, Na me mess up!”
The singer further added that she later dedicated three years to relentless self-development after she decided to quit music.
