Nigerian rapper and music producer,
Lanre Dabiri, better known as Eldee, who relocated from Nigeria to the United States of America 11 years ago, says he has no regret over his decision to quit the country.
Eldee made the statement, while responding to a fan, who said leaving the country for the US is tough and not a guarantee that things will work out for the best.
The 45-year-old singer while replying the followers asserted that his decision was born out of his desire to get rich rather than being perceived to be rich because of his status.

He went on to say he would probably still be struggling and not accomplish all he has today if he had stayed back in Nigeria.
Suggesting on his Instagram page that to make money in Nigeria you might have to steal, Eldee wrote:
“It’s all about perspective. Everybody’s journey is different. The real question is what your definition of ‘make it’ is. I don’t for a second regret my japa.
“My life today is exactly as I envisioned it in 2012 when I decided I was finally done with my Nigeria.
“We all have different goals and priorities in life. I chose being rich over looking rich. The only way I could have accomplished what I have today in Nigeria is if I stole the money and I no sabi thief.”
Eldee who had previously announced that he was leaving the Nigerian music industry some years ago, was also quoted to have said he doesn’t regret leaving music after relocating.
He argued that he does not feel his music will get him as far as he wanted to go in life and it is taking him away from his family, which is the most important to him.
