Chief Coach of Rangers International of Enugu, John Obuh, has expressed satisfaction over the progress of the team following an impressive run of games in recent weeks in the ongoing 2013/14 Glo Nigeria Premier League season.
The former national Under-20 team head coach said he is happy with the way his team has improved in recent weeks and believes its recent form may just be what it needs to find its way back to reckoning at the end of the season.
He said: “You will agree with me that for some time now, we have been far from being where we ought to be. Rangers has been down all this while, and for the past few weeks we have been able to wake up.
“Drawing Akwa (Utd) in Uyo doesn’t come as a surprise to me, as we have had our own time of crying. I think this is the time we really need to wake up and see what we can do for this team, which is exactly what we are doing.
“I am impressed with our progress so far, and it showed in the way we’re playing lately. The boys did well against Akwa; but I think the pitch affected the flow of the game, as both sides were unable to complete most of their passes.
“My happiness was that no matter how bad the pitch was, it will affect us and affect them. The pitch was not good for a game of football.”
