Arsenal and Three Lions goalkeeper, Aaron Ramsdale has said he will ensure his international teammate and Liverpool fullback, Trent Alexander-Arnold, does not score a goal against him during his playing career.

The Gunners shot-stopper is yet to concede against the Liverpool man, who is renowned for scoring goals despite playing as a defender and the keeper intends to keep it that way.

Ramsdale made the revelation on a Premier League’s YouTube channel, anchored by Arsenal legend, Ian Wright, where he said it’s his tradition to prevent close friends from scoring against him.

Speaking on why he is determined to shut out the Reds defender, he said: “My rivalries come from all my friends, so Trent Alexander-Arnold, I can’t let him score. He’s one of my closest friends, and that is a major challenge for me.”

Ramsdale, since moving from Sheffield United to the Emirates Stadium in the summer, has kept 13 clean sheets in 36 Premier League games.

The 25-year-old goalkeeper played a key role in Arsenal’s surprise title challenge this season before they recently dropped off and allowed champions, Man City, to leapfrog them.
