The 24-year-old flew back to Manchester after the first pre-season game against LA Galaxy. He has not featured in the first-team since.

But the Brazilian full-back revealed on Instagram on Tuesday he is now back in training.

He wrote: “Back in training ready to help.”

Ander Herrera and Luke Shaw are also in line to return against QPR at Old Trafford on Sunday.

On Monday night, Herrera tweeted: “Training hard and looking forward to this next game at Old Trafford.”

However, Michael Carrick is still not ready after undergoing ankle surgery while Phil Jones is a doubt after limping out of England’s win over Switzerland on Monday night.
