Radical Second Republic lawmaker and Soviet-trained medical doctor, Junaid Mohammed, is dead.

Dr Ahmed Salik, a former lecturer with the Bayero University Kano and also a former member of the House of Representatives confirmed that the Kano born critic of President Muhammed Buhari’s government died after a protracted illness.

He was 71 years old father and grandfather.

Until his death, Junaid Mohammed was a regular news personality for TheNiche newspaper.

He was the first to release details of the nepotism in President Muhammadu Buhari’s government to TheNiche which was published in June 2016.

He also made several damning revelations about other members of President Buhari’s government, including Attorney General, Abubakar Malami, former State Security Service Service (SSS) Director-General, Lawal Daura, and president Muhammadu Buhari’s nephew, Mammam Daura, a man he said acts as the unofficial principal adviser to the government.
