PSG beats Man City 2-0, goes top of the group

Former club of ex-Nigerian international, Jayjay Okocha, Paris Saint-Germain, defeated reigning English champion, Manchester City 2-0, to move to the top of Group A in the Champions league match played in Paris this evening.

Despite dominating the game with greater ball possession and shots on target, the visitors left the French capital empty handed and without a goal.

The host scored the first goal of the match on 12th minutes through Senegalese midfielder, Idrissa Gueye and the first half ended 1-0 in favour of PSG.

Lionel Messi scored the second goal from a pass from Kylian Mbappe on 74minutes of the second half , to compound the woes of the visiting English side.

A total of 3 yellow cards were issued by the Spanish referee, Carlos del Cerro Grande, who later brought proceedings to an end after an additional 5mins was given as extra time.

The result takes the French side, PSG, to the summit of the Group after two games. Man City are now 3rd behind Club Brugge, who is 2nd while German club RB Leipzig occupies the bottom of the table.
