Health workers in Nigeria have been advised to use their profession  to render selfless service to humanity.

The Vice Presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in 2019 general elections, Mr. Peter Obi, gave the advice, while addressing health workers at Annunciation Specialist Hospital, Enugu.

Obi also commended the health workers for their brave fight against the dreaded Coronavirus (COVID-19)  pandemic.

He reminded them that their profession was a big platform to serve God and man, who alone could reward man for every good deed.

While presenting a cheque of N1,000,000 to the hospital management to help step up its health service delivery and to offset the bills of some indigent persons at the hospital, Obi urged them to continue to pray for the nation for its leaders to use national resources prudently for common good.

Appreciating Obi for his benevolence, the Assistant Manager of Annunciation Specialist Hospital, Rev. Sr Uchenna Nwafor, recalled how Obi donated COVID-19 relief materials to the hospital at the peak of the pandemic.

He thanked the former governor for his generosity and prayed God to continue to bless him.
