President’s wife donates food stuff to less privileged in Niger

Wife of the President, Hajiya Aisha Buhari, on Friday in Minna, Niger State capital, donated various food items ‎to the less privileged persons across the state.

Presenting the assorted food items on behalf of Hajia Aisha Buhari, Niger state Governor’s wife, Dr. Amina Sani Bello, said that the gesture was to cushion the effects of the current socio- economic dislocation in the country and as the Sallah is around the corner.

The items donated to the beneficiaries by the President’s wife included; 1,000‎ bags of rice, 1,000 gallons of vegetable oil, 1,000 cartons of tomato paste, 1,000 cartons of specially packaged Garri and 1,000 cartons of Custard.

Hajiya Aisha Buhari said, “This gift of food items is to the less privileged people in Niger state and those living with all forms of disability, widows and the vulnerable in all the 25 local government areas of the state”.

While appealing to Nigerians not to lose hope in the ability of the APC administration to change the country for the better, Aisha Buhari urged Nigerians to stand firm in support of her husband, Muhammadu Buhari especially in the fight against corruption.

President Buharis’ wife said at Idris Legbo Kutigi International Conference Centre, Minna on Friday that the APC government was passionate about the plights of Nigerians especially the less privileged, including the physically challenged hence the donation of the food items.

“It is true that although some of you might be going through some form of hardship right now, we need to persevere ‎a little longer because, if we exercise patience with the government very soon we will all see the dividends of the change”.

According to the President’s wife, “The problems of Nigerians will soon be over if we give this government a little more time. We have been anticipating, because sustainable change is and will truly require a gradual process”.
