A pregnant woman from Enugu State, Chinwendu Igwe, who was abducted in Egede, Udi local government area of the state while on her way to deliver at the hospital has reportedly given birth at the kidnappers’ den.
TheNiche learnt the woman after going into labour while in captivity gave birth to a bouncing baby boy in the forest last Monday.
It was also revealed that she was with her two other little children aged between two and four years when she was abducted.

Confirming the incident, the lady’s husband, Mr. Ekene Igwe, told journalists that he paid a ransom of N1.6 million before his wife and the newborn were released.
“I paid a ransom of N1.6 million before I could get my wife and the new born baby,” he said.
Igwe, who hails from Attakwu Akegbe Ugwu Awkunanaw, went on to appreciate the motorcyclist who rescued his two kids, who were abandoned on the road by the kidnappers, saying he was grateful to God for getting them back..
